  5. Lowest reading my protrack has recorded... 1,100 feet. But that was my reserve following a total malfunction! ;)

    My beeps on a normal skydive are set for:

    (whatever break off height is): 2,500 feet: 1,800 feet

    Spent a few hours on a freezing cold, windy DZ on Saturday. I don't jump when it's cold so I didn't even take my rig!

    But only 3 days until I fly to Empuriabrava and the last 10 day forecast I saw was for wall to wall blue skies! Woo-hoo!

    I am SOOOOOO excited. There is nowhere on earth more beautiful than Empuria on a clear winter day - that view over the bay with snow capped mountains... B|

    I can't WAIT!

  13. I had my Spectre relined with dacron about a year ago because the microlines I had had previously had shrunk so much that the brake lines were 8 inches too short and the canopy was no longer flaring adequately.

    The dacron lines have improved the openings with only a very small increase in pack volume (hardly noticeable).

    The dacron lines were cheaper than microline too!

    It's an absolute no-brainer in my opinion! ;)

    But if you are ever lucky enough to lay your hands on chocolate vodka it tastes absolutely amazing mixed with orange juice! ;)

  16. I had the blood test (IGE) a few weeks ago. They really took very little blood and it wasn't painful or distressing in any way. The test showed up that I have raised IGE so I will have to have the skin prick tests next...

    I saw some of the Young Eagles in the Bedford tunnel at the opening party. It was impressive to watch - those kids, some of them really very young, were real naturals! Very cool to think what they will be able to do with a lot more tunnel time...

  23. I have a 2nd round interview for a job I really want on Wednesday.

    Can anyone offer me some good general advice on making the best possible impression? I hate formal interviews...
