  1. I'm finding it to be more cumbersome than previous archiving. No thumbnails are a pain, and the PMB software takes forever to do the numerous scans and other duties. I'm using Vegas and could use some tips for how to take the files from the camera, store them on my comp, and then bring them into Vegas efficiently. If anyone can share their technique I'd appreciate it. I'm not the smartest guy when it comes to computers so please explain it as if you were talking to someone in velcro shoes.
  2. Thanks guys, lesson learned. A question for DSE, will the Century lens provide a wider shot than the 3030 on the cx100? I appreciate the lens chart you posted, but before I fork over 300 bucks I'd like to be sure I'm going to get the shot I want. Thanks!
  3. Well I can tell you those plastic adapter rings that come with the raynox just cost me my lens on opening. Not a hard opening, just a normal Velo opening. I was concerned about this happening and planned to support the lens more in in its box, but after 10 jumps it was too late. I think this may be a blessing in disguise however. I was fairly disappointed with the 3030 as it doesn't provide the same wide angle as the diamond .3 on my PC-9 prior. For inside freeflying it's simply not wide enough. Can anyone shed some light on the Century lens? I checked out DSE's lens comparison chart, but I'd like a user opinion before I cough up the cash for a new one. Thanks!
  4. I know with the Hypeye expansion kit you can take still pics while recording video, has anyone tried this feature yet? Also, can you pull stills directly from video?
  5. Thanks Lloyd. Can anyone recommend a company? Good price/ service?
  6. Well I'm sold on the cx-100. Just wondered where people are buying them. Most are priced in the $540 range, however I've found two companies selling them for $319. http://www.cameragiantsinc.com/products.asp?product_id=100088 http://digitalsfuture.com/products/sony-hdr-cx100-high-definition-handycam-camcorder-silver Has anyone used either of these companies or heard anything about them? Sounds too good to be true.
  7. In the market for one...Any suggestions? The Sony CX7 looks great in terms of its size and functionality. It may be used for the occasional tandem video as well so slo-mo and other funtions for editing are important...Any input will be great!
