  1. Sorry to bring back an old thread, but Isopropyl/isopropanol will help remove the rubber. Unscented baby powder or starch (applied lightly with a rag) will dry it up, if it's not too far gone. Useful as a preventive measure too. My aging VISO II got the alcohol treatment several years back.
