Not sure if it's just my impression, but in case of both Valkyrie and Leia the fabric seems to degrade super fast.
When I compare e.g. my Pilot and Scirocco both which have around 400 jumps on them and my Leia which has about 150, Leia feels like has been washed several times and has at least 2-3 times more jumps on it then two other canopies.
Still flies nice though, but the fabric itself seems very worn out. Also applies to fairly new Valkyries which I've seen.

    Anybody has similar experience?

Yes, I can confirm that. Seems that ZP-fabrics has been changed in 2013. Canopies made bebore 2013 have much thicker ZP. This difference can be noticed at PD, NZ, Skylark. New Valkyries with 50-100 jumps looks like old shit, comparing to "old" Velos with 500-600 jumps.

***... recovers more than the vk

More what?I think it means "longer recovery arc"

***Harness is more intuitive than the vk

Intuitive to whom exactly?to guy who answered my questions :)

I found a guy who is first and the only owner of ArWolf in Russia, and after a short talk about it I like AirWolf more and more.

  3. Still waiting for AirWolf reviews, opinions and comparings to VK and Leya.

I was chating with FluidWings on FB yesterday, can share some answers:

It dives harder than the leia and recovers more than the vk
It rewards you for knowing recovery ark

Harness is more intuitive than the vk
risers similar maybe slightly heavier but it enjoys the harness flight
    Rears for days

    And great low power flight.

  4. wrong. when you transfer from VE to VK, or from VK to PE, it is reasonable to do not downsize - because your WL is ALREADY 2.4 and higher and you ALREADY expereinced enough to do not ask this questions at dz.com :)

but when you transfer from KA to VE it is not very smart to keep same canopy size.
as for me, I transfered form SkylarkOdyssey wl1.85 to VE103 wl2.0. I found VE fucking fast and sharp and...... but only for ~20 first jumps. VE became boring and I had to add weightbelt to make wl2.15-2.2

  5. odyssey is pretty nice canopy but it it is not reasonable to fly it with 1.4-1.5wl. The best WL for Odyssey is 1.8-1.9. With low wingloading you will not see any differense with semi-elleptical wings like Sabre or Magellan.
I had Skylark Magellan 130, Odyssey 130 (wl 1.6) and Odyssey 120 (wl 1.7-1.8). Ma130 and Od130 flyes almost similar. Od120 with wl1.7 was faster and more agresive. [email protected] is much more interesting wing.

If you want a good RDS slider buy one from SkyLark. Super easy to use in the air and put back on.

Dealing with my current NZ Aerosports slider after Skylark's is a pain in the ass...

true, but Skylark do not makes custom sliders, Skylark makes RDS for their own canopies only (Scirocco, Odyssey, etc.) and I'm not sure that Scirocco's RDS fits Velo or FW. I have Scirocco's RDS and it is 1/5 times larger than Velo's. And when I attached Skylark RDS to my VE103, I've got soft and looooong openings. It was a real problem to make slider fall down to risers.

  7. 45 jumps - military canopy
    10 jumps - 260 7-cell classic
    3 jump - dolphin 195 (1.1:1)
    8 jumps - flimingo 190 (1.1)
    6 jumps - spectre 190 (1.1)
    3 jumps - ozon 170 (1.2)
    110 jumps - flamingo 150 (1.4)
    16 jumps - sabre2 150 (1.4)
    166 jumps - magellan 130 (1.6)
    64 jumps - odyssey 130 (1.6)
    125 jumps - odyssey 120 (1.8)
    99 jumps - velo 103 (2.0-2.2)
    currently own CompVelo96 (2.2-2.3)

and I still keep jumping 260-280sq.f accuracy canopy (military jumps) - about 200 jumps for now.

After four years of development, testing, and design we released the Valkyrie in early 2015. Since then, we have been extremely humbled by all the amazing photos, messages, and positive feedback we’ve received about the Valkyrie. It has been one of our most successful products ever. It amazes us to see what you, the jumping community, have done with them!

However, over the last several months we’ve received word from some Valkyrie owners about premature line wear. Some customers also report a higher-than-average rate of tension knots. We appreciate this feedback and take it very seriously. Over the last few months have been working diligently to understand and address this issue.

We started by looking for trends and common factors. We considered canopy size, wingloading, components, jumping environment, packing technique, deployment technique, and many otherFlock_VK-3281 variables. We had just as many reports of people getting 500 jumps from a lineset as those who were only getting 200. Even more puzzling, we never saw any of these issues during the lengthy development of the Valkyrie.

The quirky nature of this issue made it very difficult for us to understand and address it. However, after months of additional testing, we believe we have found an improvement to the Valkyrie lineset that reduces the likelihood of premature line wear or tension knots.

First, we have made some changes to the 500 Orange Vectran lineset. The most obvious of these changes is that we replaced the 500 Orange Vectran outside A/B lines with 300 Orange Vectran instead. While it’s somewhat counter-intuitive to put a lighter weight line in a high-wear area, it helps to know that the outside A/B lines on the Valkyrie are very lightly loaded during the opening. A lighter weight line in this area is helping to reduce the possibility of uneven tension and “line whip,” which also reduces overall line wear. We also made a few less obvious adjustments to both the 500 and 300 Orange Vectran linesets. These lineset changes will NOT affect the flight characteristics of your Valkyrie, but it should make your lineset last a bit longer and protect you better from tension knots.

For those who would like to have another line type entirely, we now offer 500 HMA on the Valkyrie. Due to the characteristics of HMA, there was no need to mix the line weights – all of the suspension lines are made from 500 weight line. We developed an HMA lineset because some jumpers may like the soft feel and slightly lower drag that comes with HMA, or maybe they prefer the aesthetics of an uncolored line. Performance wise, there isn’t a noticeable difference. The new HMA and Orange Vectran linesets are both great, reliable options. Your choice comes down to personal preference between the two.

  9. this big "valkyrie" logo on white cell is only for pd demo canopy or I can order VK with it?

I asked my local dealer about checks - he said I can order VK without any checks or recommendations. Money is all I need to make an order :)
