  1. Well, I know of at least a couple of HISPA delegates that will be available at the boogie. You should have no problem becoming one.
  2. We just had an incident last week. One camera man usually does a half flip on the harness and holds a head down position. This is done after opening to add a upside down view as part of the video it is making. Last week, one foot caught on a line creating a spinning main. The camera man could not untangle the line from the foot. After some spinning, it cuts the main away. Since it could not clear the main from the foot, it deploys the reserve. The reserve pilot entangles with the main and now the reserve and free bag are just floating above the camera man. He pulls the lines and the reserve out of the free bag. The whole thing is just a ball of lines and material, above him. Luckily the reserve catches air and opens. The main is still entangle with the foot and now the reserve. Finally the main separates from the reserve and the skydiver. The reserve had a line over. On the last seconds the camera man manages to turn the reserve cross wind and lands (or crash) in the tall grass. After watching this, it seems nothing short of a miracle he still was able to walk out of this. I included a link to the video Saludos Orlando Hispa #48 | [email protected] | www.amador.org | [url "http://www.xtreme
  3. This Saturday was a good day for jumping. We squeezed an impromptu jump into the beach at the end of the day. I guess we could not wait for the boogie to start. The thing was that "IvanRockon" made an excellent entrance, or should I say splash down . Let me try to get a pic or two from the video. Hopefully Ivan will not mind. Too much ... 4. You might want to bring your cold weather gear anyway. XtremeDivers just inform me that they will be doing high altitude jump every morning from Thursday to Sunday. So bring your gloves and long underware, because I don't care where you are, it gets really cold above 20,000. You will probably want to call them at (787) 852-5757 or visit the DZ web page at www.xtemedivers.com for more details. 5. Hey, I just heard that the Crosskeys Skyvan and Caravan are coming down for the boogie. I better get out and practice my tailgate exits. Saludos Orlando Hispa #48 | [email protected] | www.amador.org | [url "http://www.xtreme
  6. Wednesday night in Punta Maracayo and Saturday night in the DZ. Although the web page says there is beer every night. So I guess the party is where the beer cooler is. There is more new information at the boogie page. Also Xtremedivers.com Saludos Orlando Hispa #48 | [email protected] | www.amador.org | [url "http://www.xtreme
  7. You flight into the San Juan International (SJU) airport. Flights to/from Puerto Rico are domestic flights, so you don't need a passport, just your regular picture ID. Local currency is the US dollar. There is a page in the XtremeDivers web sites with a list of the hotels in the area. One is just 5 minutes from the DZ. Others are between 15 or 30 minutes from the DZ. All of them are on route #2, so it is a straight shot from the DZ. You can find the list at the Lodging page. There are several car rental companies in the San Juan area. They have shuttle service from the airport. You'll find all the national companies like Avis, Hertz, Alamo, National and some locals like L&M and Charlie. Here is a list I found in the yellow pages SuperPagesPr.com Saludos Orlando Hispa #48 | [email protected] | www.amador.org | [url "http://www.xtreme
  8. Having a great time at Skydive City Hallowen party. Here is a link to some pictures of the party. This are live pictures taken with my camera phone. So forgive the low quality.
