  1. I got my first tattoo last year and thought it would be my only one. I just got another one yesterday. I tried to get a good pic to post but it's hard to take a pic of your back. One is my whole back and the other is just a cropped pic of the tat itself.

See the fall foilage in New England

Seeing this makes me realize that I take this for granted each year. I always drive up north for a long weekend during the peak time.

    1. Visit Costa Rica, Australia, Alaska, Brazil, Europe (Iguess travel anywhere really)
    2. Swim with dolphins
    3. Scuba dive
    4. Have a family

  4. I'd say that any raise is a good raise. My company did not give any annual raises for 2 years. This year they gave them. I was lucky to have been promoted just before the end of last year - so my annual raise plus the promotion increase was 14.5%. I was so happy with that. But, it will be a long time before I get another raise.

  5. Jennifer - thank you for writing this. A good friend of mine was in the fire, but, thankfully got out. He was burned pretty badly, but he's doing well now.

  6. My credit card bills ~$3500, consolidations loans~$4000, student loans ~$38000. YIKES. I don't think I'll ever get all that paid back. At least I went on the 20 year payment plan for the student loans.

  13. I wanted to be a lawyer. But, after I got my MBA I realized there was no way I could sit an a classroom for another 3-4 years. Not to mention I can't afford the schooling itself. Maybe someday...

  15. Yes - I always wear my seatbelt. I just wish I could convince everyone I know to wear theirs too. I was in a car accident 13 years ago. Had I had my seatbelt on, my injuries would likely have been less severe. Instead, I suffered a fractured skull and 5 broken teeth. Just two years ago and a ton of cash out of pocket, I was able to get my teeth completely fixed. But, the headaches from the fracture will be with me forever.

  16. Those options are lacking. :P

I like a medium coffee with milk 1 sugar. I used to use a ton of sugar, but have been slowly weening myself off of it.

  17. I had that happen to me recently. I ran into a few people I used to hang out with all the time. After the initial "how have you been" and so forth, it was like we never had that time apart. It is a great feeling!

I think the current limit is $3k for the Roth, and $13k for the 401k.

I contribute 5% into my 401k and my company contributes 15% of my 12/31 salary as profit sharing.
The limit is $13K for the 401k but because of EGTRRA and if your plan has the "catch-up" election in the plan document and if you are going to turn 50 in 2004, you can contribute an additional $3k.I think the limit is still $3k for the ROTH and $3.5 if you are 50 or older. But, ROTH contributions are not tax deductable - which stinks if you need the deduction.
