  1. So I think some of the Moxie members are also planning to go to NC to play in the tunnel and "get current" with our FS stuff. and I would love to know who else is interested to see if we can do some additional time aside from the coached Fury stuff!! I would love to do more four way, and eight way.... so who's already going, and who is still considering the trip? More info for those who are not already aware... Feb 1st thru 3rd are the tunnel camp official dates, I will most likely stay a bit longer. I will post again with more pricing details but I know these two options: Individual skills camp: 1 hour of one-on-one with a fury member over the course of three days... $1300 per person Team Package: 3 hours of coached time over three days $975 per team member I'm sure additional coached time will be an option, and I am looking at doing at least some extra time with anyone going, also feel free to PM me with more questions, or if you want more info on who is already going. Celeste
  2. meeeee tooo, I am considered a conservative instructor - Will we see you down here? I am making my 2nd baloon jump on Tuesday morning! CC
  3. I think we have the staff and experience to assist them - we're not just throwing them into the wild unknown JP :) They still must manifest through the school, and we will be keeping our eyes on them!!
  4. Anyone can Play at the Perris Boogie!! 5. YEAH!!!!!!!! Skyvan is up and has run a load already - IT WILL BE Flying over the weekend!! and so I don't post hog,,, 10 way is all experience welcome - you must have an A license, that's it. BTW camera flyers - you are one of the spots on the 10way, so any camera people that want to make a 10way speed star WHILE wearing a cam, give us a hollar. we have not yet formed interest lists for the 10way, but count on Christy Frikken to organize it! Celeste http://www.myspace.com/celesteac http://www.myspace.com/skydiveperris
  6. Baloon jumps are still in the works,,, we need to know how many people. If you still interested (it's $65) contact Manifest (Dan) directly at 951-657-1664 and give a name and number, and we can try to book the baloon. then post /pm/ reply so we can see interest building The good news,,, Jet Loads are filling for Saturday. If you want to get on one, contact manifest and make your request for the time: 10 amv - Filling fast!! Noon 2PM My advice, call and schedule the time you want, but be prepared to go at 10, as right now, that one has enough to send, if you reserve a later time, and not enough people join, it might not go - Though it looks like a promising day building
  7. I'll Check tomorrow and post again on that! I am pretty sure that they will have the option, if enough people want to go, which doesn't take a lot! But is anyone here interested in doing Baloon Jumps on Sat/Sun Post or PM me with your interested day. I saw some of the most amazing jet pics today, I think a few of them are being submitted for Parachutist, but I have asked for some of the non "rock star" ones to post. If you want to go BIG - Perris Fury is going to try to organize an "adapted" version of 10 way speed star over the weekend, if interest permits, so contact Manifest if you want to jump, they are keeping interest lists. But I think that sounds like a riot,,, people going all A-- over Tea Kettle I, for one, will be making a point to also do my 1st jump in the helecopter this weekend, I think Saturday! ...and yes, it's a case of BEEEEEER!
  8. After 3 years... lots of waiting, and a great run in Rantoul... The JET is finally FLYING JUMPERS in Perris!!!! several loads in the DC-9 today more to come from the DC-9 and Hele jumps next weekend... http://www.skydiveperris.com Registration & Jumps Prices are available on the perris website! Oh Yeah, and you can go for a tandem too! $350 for a JET TANDEM
  9. Hey the blue man group... they're fun! Have a great holiday! I already have just what I wanted, Slept in, no work, no family STRESS, plenty of football on TV, and a great bottle of Zin to open later!! Happy Thanksgiving CC
  10. I agree with both of you guys the point should be to stop giving money to the terrorists, not the countries that happen to be around. But I do think that letters are only ONE way to protest something you disapprove of. $$ talks, and in this respect, if you want to be heard, use your pocketbook. I am not without my flaws this way, but I do try to make the effort. For example: I buy soaps, shampoos etc. that do not make a practice of tasting on animals I try to buy from the neighborhood shops when available, instead of the big chains...etc etc I like your points but... Deisel here in MN? I would have Molasses for fuel every winter. We do use corn additive though (we have lots of corn) from October to March to save fuel. As for the flag issue, I dated a Marine for a couple years, and I know how much this issue got to him, but he'd try to look at the intentions, look at how many more people are displaying their flag now since 9/11. Of course Kid Rock is a great example of flag abuse and I still buy his CD's
  11. Kind of related... If you want to protest Chevron, I think you have an even better reason to do it than the flag issue (which bugs me too, all the time) let me know if I'm going overboard here... in an email I received some time ago: ...Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends. Major companies that import Middle Eastern oil (from 9/1/00 - 8/31/01). Shell....................205,742,000 barrels Chevron/Texaco....144,332,000 barrels Exxon /Mobil.........130,082,000 barrels Marathon..............117,740,000 barrels Amoco..................62,231,000 barrels If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! Some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil: Citgo 0 barrels Sunoco 0 barrels Conoco 0 barrels Sinclair 0 barrels BP/Phillips 0 barrels Hess 0 barrels All of this information is available from the Department of Energy. Refineries located in the U.S. are required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. [stepping off soapbox] CC
  12. I swear, just altitude nothing else. Besides why would I admit to anything I know there are no pictures of? Yup just me, JT and about 12 other jumpers on each load, you can imagine the debauchery... CC
  13. Then what are these funny little marks on my arm?Nah a little nibble now and then is just fine, and when I say something stupid, I'll expect a quick nip. CC [Time to say something stupid]
  14. [...peeking her head out into the busy traffic of the Talk Back forum]...I guess I'm getting dragged out now whether I like it or not JT was the perfect host. picked me up at my hotel on the stip, brought me to the DZ, and then even jumped with me like the dumbass I am I forgot to get a picture of us... So what did I learn from it all? (besides the cool tracking tips) the internet is really a safe and fun way to meet people and calling the strangers to give you a ride is pretty much a great idea!! too bad we didn't get to jump a bit more before my return to the arctic tundra. Thank you DZ.com CC
