  1. Hi all! Anyone operating on MOGAS? In some EU countries Avgas is not available or it is too expensive. We run on MOGAS - regular unleaded petrol. Obviously there is much less lubrication on the engine with unleaded petrol.doea anyone have experience with lead substitute additives on aircraft engines?
  2. Thanks for the feedback! 6-7 gal per load is really low. We are at 9. Load is 4 people (2 tandems usually).
  3. Hi guys! I am starting this topic to hear what are different DZs are doing for fuel load on C182. We are running C182 with O-470 engine at 2000ft DZ on Mogas. We are pretty high and we have a hot summer. What is the optimal fuel load for a single flight from experience in your areas? Please mention operational conditions.
  4. Hi guys! I got my device from Acho the CC Locator. I am about to install but before that i did some ground testing. What can I say it simply works. I have my own Chinese VHF radio - 20USD and simply "call" the device. I don't use my phone but a Garmin GPS since for me is easier and it just homes to the location. I like the fact that there is not SIM card which makes it internationally applicable. Great product!
  5. I think this is much better alternative: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Sony-FishEye-converter-VCL-ECF2-free-EMS-speedpost-/111746097718?hash=item1a04962236:g:n88AAOSw3ydVoX06 I am going to start jumping tandems with the kit lens and see if it works out. I have had a thread before and some guys sent pictures with the kit lens which were OK but you have to fly further from the tandem compared to using a wideangle lens... Which 16 Pancake to you think can workout instead of the stock lens? If it is this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/695859-REG/Sony_SEL16F28_SEL16F28_16mm_f_2_8_Wide_Angle.html I was at the dealer and tested it the angle is the same as the 16-50 kit lens.
  6. Guys, I bought the A5100 for the new season with the 16-50 stock lens. I wanted to ask if anyone had used that camera/lens with fisheye adapter like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HD-Digital-Fisheye-Lens-W-Macro-For-Sony-Alpha-A5000-A5100-ILCE-5000-ILCE-5100-/161987363693?hash=item25b733036d:g:cWMAAOSwYHxWLFlq I don't want to buy a dedicated fisheye lense: 1/ too expensive and 2/ heavy.
  7. I am buying the a5100 the 6000 is a bit pricy. I will use it only for photo. On our DZ we use GoPro for video. I wasn't sure if the autofocus will work properly. This is why I was looking at the 16mm. If use the stock at autofocus I am not sure it will focus good enough.
  8. Thanks for the inputs! The concern I have for using the 20mm is the field of view which is 70 degrees compared to the 16 which has 83. The problem is that I am buying something I have not jumped nor I know anybody who has hence the dilemma.
  9. Hi guys! I am going to buy the a5100. I would like to ask for advice on the lens. I will use only for tandem stills. I am looking at the following options: 1. Kit lens: 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 2. 20mm f/2.8 Alpha 3. 16mm f/2.8 Wide-Angle All help is welcome!

  11. The dual gopro is a solution but the guys at the DZ still think that the DSLR does better job in clouds when there is more need for compensation of light conditions. I hope I can convince them to go this way and save my neck and pocket at the same time. Side by side on the or L bracket on in front one on top?
  12. I know that this is the obvious choice. A buddy of mine jumps like that. I was thinking of any angled mount and put it on the side of the EOS but couldn't find any appropriate kit.
  13. Hi guys! I am now looking for mounting options for GoPro on this AirGun helmet. I'd like to use with the EOS camera on top. I used the helmet with Contour and Sony on the side but I'd like to move to to GoPro now. Any ideas for mounting? thanks!
