  1. Awesome job! IMHO nothing wrong with visualising things going wrong. Then you can practice what to do when they do! @FlyingRhenquest - lol awesome video. I had a flailing leg on exit well past my AFF and only manage to get rid of them after 15 jumps or so.
  2. Because jumping out of a bad plane might be dangerous?
  3. I second this. I find that visualising your jump over and over again both on the ground and on the plane ride up really helps a lot because then you don't have to think about what you need to do next and you can concentrate on getting things done one by one during the jump :) Don't be worried about messing up a jump or a few! Even in my limited time skydiving many of the people I've met had to repeat some of their AFF jumps and some needed some time in the tunnel to sort things out. Heck, we don't even have a proper tunnel here in NZ so that means an overseas trip to Sydney, Australia for us.... (looking forward to my first tunnel session at the end of the month!!!) Consider yourself lucky! [EDIT] Oh and keep us up to date on how your next tunnel session/jump goes!
  4. Hi Everyone! So, I've been wanting to get into skydiving for a long time but finally got to a stage in my life where I might be able to afford an AFF course in the near-ish future and stay current with a couple of jumps or so each month. (Oh and found a life insurance company that won't charge me an arm and a leg for skydiving) So I've still got a few more month to save up but thought I might as well start looking now :) I've seen the website for Skydive Auckland and Blueskies skydiving but has anyone done an AFF course with either of these guys or anyone else around Auckland lately? Any reviews/comments would be appreciated! The costs for AFF/followup jumps for A Cert seems to vary as well. Anyone keen to share what they paid for AFF around Auckland recently? Can't wait! (edited the title in the hope of more views to answer the AFF question.~Skymama)
