  1. Nope... I know it probably sounds like i am though. haha. You can look at my previous posts and tell I'm not Eric. Just a fan of his channel that's all... Trying to help a brother out you know...
  2. I found this Youtube channel a couple of weeks ago and have been watching this guys' videos. Super high quality stuff here. He's got everything from skydiving, to swooping, to paragliding, to paramotoring, and much more... I thought i would post it here because i know a lot of you would enjoy the vids... His name is Eric and his channel is TheAv8tqr. Make sure you subscribe and give him a like so he'll keep pumping out new vids... Check out this swooping video with TJ Landgren http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xkK6mYUY7Q&feature=colike
  3. Yeah skydiving in a business suit doesn't seem ideal...
  4. Had to post this awesome skydiving commercial done by earthlink. The star is Greg the DZO of triangle skydiving center. Some great skydiving and awesome camera work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=aGggEkNm8hg And here is the behind the scenes footage which is even cooler. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf2JBjqeF6c When I finally get a chance to get my license this will be my home DZ. Done a couple of tandems here and had the time of my life... enjoy
  5. I've heard good things about "no limits" also. The difference though is they are a cessna drop zone so they don't go as high, which means less free fall. I could be wrong about that though. Triangle has a twin otter, and on occasions they also use a Casa (which is the plane in the video that i posted) and a caribou, which is a big ass cargo plane. Pretty cool. Where ever you decide I'm sure you'll have a great time...
  6. video is moving up on reddit.
  7. It's addicting isn't? Me and my buddies like to say, I'm kinda glad the tunnel isn't closer because we would definitely go broke... Who needs money anyways though right
  8. So what does everyone think of the plank dive??? funny huh
  9. They are open on Fridays; however, that is part of my working schedule as well. I could go out of town to get my license, but I still wouldn't have a place to stay current during the week unless I travel. I'll just have to wait till I can get a weekday shift or hopefully they'll start opening during the week someday. That would be ideal.
  10. I agree... I do want to give a shout out to Triangle Skydive Center. They always take care of us down there. I want to start my AFF so bad. The only problem is i work the weekend shift and they're only open on the weekend I think they have the customers to stay open through out the week, I was just told they didn't have the staff. Which sucks... Hopefully one day I'll be able to get my A license, but until then I'll continue to live vicariously through all of you and go to the tunnel when i can....
  11. I took my aunt skydiving for her birthday and she decided to plank on exit. SOOOO Funny... Then she proceeded to get into her skydiving position which evidently she feels mirrors a motorcycle riding position with her tongue out. Finally during the landing she was told to put her legs up which she assumed meant above her head... haha. Hope you enjoy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EelnDnxrQm0&feature=colike
  12. That Rambo song is the perfect highlight reel music.
  13. Check out our trip to Paraclete. Wait for the highlights at the end. So funny. Try to guess the instrumental music that's playing during the highlights... Where is it from??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=penkPhr50Hg
  14. Cool. Well you won't be dissapointed. He has a great attitude. Let us know how it went.
  15. I know for sure you'll enjoy yourself. Our instructor has been Selwyn for both of our visits and he is great. Good luck with AFF...
  16. Just wanted to post a quick video of me and some friends down at Paraclete XP. I had fun editing the footage and wanted to get some feedback from some tunnel experts on how we're doing. Just a fun video, hope you enjoy... watcha think??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=penkPhr50Hg
  17. New upload today on the PDBlog on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnHvXcqqXu8&feature=colike
  18. Hello everyone, My name is Josh. I've done two tandem jumps down at Triangle Skydive Center in Louisburg NC. What a great experience. My first jump(out of a twin otter) was with Greg which I found out later was the DZO, and my second jump (out of a Casa) was with Eric. These two guys passed the skydiving bug right onto me. I can't wait till it gets a little warmer so I can start AFF. If there are any TSC jumpers here give me a shout. I would love to meet some people before I start. Hoping for a short winter now and I'm so excited about joining this club. Hope to meet some of you soon and jump with you too...
  19. So me and my buddy Sandy went down to Raeford to get some tunnel time before we start AFF in the spring. I've had two tandems and I've read the skydivers handbook so I felt prepared for my tunnel time. My instructor said I was a natural and that I would breeze through AFF. That just makes me even more anxious for warmer weather so I can start AFF. Check out the video... I'm first up... http://youtu.be/oQ1PZDyhUdo
  20. I feel your pain... I've read the skydivers handbook and even went down and got some tunnel time. I can't wait till the DZ opens back up and I can take AFF. I've even gone as far as designing my future rig... haha. check out the USPA online ground school. http://skydiveschool.org/ It is awesome. They have a lot of video to go along with the information. Good luck with your AFF next year. By the way, Where is everyone planning on taking their AFF course? I'll be doing mine at Triangle Skydive Center in Louisburg NC.
  21. I too have caught the bug. I did my first tandem about two months ago and was hooked. About 3 weeks later I went and did a T2 and now i just can't stop thinking about it. Is this normal??? I have kinda gone to the extreme. I bought the skydivers handbook and read it front to back in just a few days. Me and my buddy went down to skyventure in Raeford to fly in the tunnel so we would be prepared for AFF this spring. Is this the normal reaction to a Tandem jump??? I've even researched gear and designed containers and parachutes. I think I'm getting ahead of myself but I can't stop thinking about skydiving... Well this is my first post on DZ and hopefully I'll get to know some people here and maybe get to jump with some of you in the future... Time to stop roving, I'm a member now. haha
