Here are 3 very good reasons to travel to Gap or Empuriabrava or in fact anywhere in between.

1. Due to the crap weather in Northern Europe this year you have saved a fortune in jump tickets. Use this to justify the cost of a cheap flight to your partner.

2. The weather is unlikely to get any better before next summer.

3. Around here none of the peasants want to play with me!
