kwmontreal 0 #1 Posted November 10, 2006 I would like to post pics of my new FF2 and very first video .... but the darn pics are 2.4m. Is there an easy way to compress these?o I go back and take low res pics? Thanks. Kent----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------JUMP SAFE! iamsam 0 #2 November 10, 2006 I use photoshop, but most other imaging / resizing programs will do the same, when you 'save as Jpeg' you are offered a sliding scale of compression, 1 for maximum compression = smaller file =worst quality, up to 10 for minimum compression=bigger file size=best quality. It's woth noting that you get better results with a smaller file minimally compressed than a big file to which you've appled lots of compression.. Search the web for 'fee image resizing software', see what you get. Applications have been discussed in previous threads, search the archives. Hope that helpsSambut what do I know

kwmontreal 0 #4 November 10, 2006 Oops! That didn't work. The files are still to large at 1.5m. Back to the camera for lower res pics. Thanks anyway! jerry81 10 #5 November 10, 2006 If it's just to show them on the web, resize them to something that will fit most everyone's screen (800x600 or something) and when you save use 'Save for web' or similar to get the best size/quality ratio.
kwmontreal 0 #6 November 10, 2006 I just went back and actually LOOKED at the program and there is a space for custom resizing. So I went 400x300 and they are on average in the low 40kb range! Impatience is an awful thing!! Thanks. Kent----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------JUMP SAFE!
