stoneypilot 0 #1 May 2, 2002 I just bought the new sony DCR-IP5 microdv camcorder and I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this new smaller model and its capabilities with skydiving??? I am also trying to get some info on the new BH Optik....anyone mounted anything on it yet and made some jumps??? diverds 0 #2 May 2, 2002 I have a TRV-30 in a d-box mounted on an Optik. I really like the helmet so far. It is very comfotable and clean. I have a friend who jumps a PC-110 in a d-box on an Optik and he likes his very much as well. The general concensus (IIRC) was that the IP5 wasn't going to be a great camera for skydiving. Lower picture quality, less battery time, I *think* it's missing the lanc port (for cam-eye)If you use it, let us know how it turns out.You don't scare me! I got chunks of guys like you in my stool!!
