billbooth 10 #1 December 9, 2003 Guys, I have snoozed (they are sold out), and need two tickets to the Wright Brothers Centennial Celebration on December 17th at Kitty Hawk, NC. I have asked everyone I know, including the Liberty Parachute team who is jumping in, for tickets...but no luck yet. I am an avid pilot, as well as a jumper, and it would mean a lot to me if I could attend. Let's see if DropZone.com can produce a miracle. Thanks, Bill Booth
bean 0 #2 December 9, 2003 I've been looking around as well. I don't think they will be to hard to come by if attending on days before the 17th and you don't mind paying a little more than face value. Don't they know you? Blue skies, -Biffin PS: Maybe try to send notes to some of the DZ.Com'ers on this thread... Prob. a good bet. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=788935;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread Swoo Rodriguez #1020, LawnDart, AR #

CRWDogRigger 0 #4 December 9, 2003 Actually (not to my surprise) they can be found on ebay. http://www.ebay.com Left side of page look for TICKETS Use search box entering WRIGHT BROTHERS There are several auctions for single and/or multi-day passes and I even saw one that the seller is including a B&B type of lodging in their own home. No shock to us all that ANYTHING is for sale and surely can be found on ebay it seems! Sorry that we don't have any to share ourselves but best of luck to you! pilotdave 0 #5 December 10, 2003 Yeah, yesterday's AvFlash (an aviation news email) suggested ebay as the place to get them (at highly inflated prices). I've been hearing about the event for a looong time but I dunno anything about it. NC isn't warm enough for me to wanna stand on a beach in december. airtwardo 6 #6 December 13, 2003 Bill- Emailed you... There may still be a chance with some EAA friends. ..who knows. Just to clarify. ..Liberty Parachute Team will be represented by a couple of guys there, jumping on the 16th. ..but it's by no means "OUR" demo. I apologize to all if I gave that impression. I was just one of the fortunate ones to be selected to jump in the 100 way taking place on the 16th. ..a day prior to the reenactment flight. They said they were putting together 100 of the best demo jumpers in the counrty, and only 99 could make it... ..... SO... Would I mind 'fillin' in'! In conversation with some Golden Knights at the ICAS Convention this week. ..I was envious to learn that it's they, who will have the honor of jumping into the big day's celebration on the 17th. There will be various airshow acts performing through out the week, including the Aero Shell Team and Patty Wagstaff, a 100 aircraft flyover... In speaking with those other performers at the convention. ..It was the general opinion that if we "ALL" as performers got together. ..they would most likely find room for us to enjoy the ' 1st Flight ' all over again... Lets hope! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
