ifics 0 #1 December 19, 2003 The count down on the Cypres 2 is different then on the Cypres 1. On the 1st one you just make sure it stops before 6 I think it is (its been awhile since I used that one) I thought I knew what I was looking at but it was recently brought to my attention that I might be reading it wrong. What am I supposed to be looking for when I turn it on (Cypres 2)? Is it supposed to stop at a certain number?
arlo 0 #2 December 19, 2003 hey blake. :) straight from the C2 manual: "once the switch-on procedure is finished, the unit will run through its self-test. initially, the display will show the number '10' and then a countdown ending in '0'. when the '0' with the arrow down is shown, the unit is functional for the next 14 hours. after 14 hrs have passed, the unit will switch itself off automatically." lemme know if you have any more questions. :) blues, arlo edited to add: error displays. if there is an error condition detected during the self-test countdown, C2 displays a number on the display for approx 2 seconds, then it switches itself off (display goes blank). the error codes are "1111", "2222" or "3333". The Cypres 2 will countdown from 10 to 0. QuoteIs it supposed to stop at a certain number? No, if it shows a number other than 0 (i.e. 1111) is displayed during the the self-test countdown, there is an error. If after the countdown it displays 0, it has passed the self-test and is ready to use. Hope this helps,

ifics 0 #5 December 19, 2003 Wurd, thx to all!
 slotperfect 7 #6 December 21, 2003 The first stop during the countdown of the CYPRES 1 is the battery strength. If it gets below 5700 it will shut itself off after giving you an error code. The CYPRES 2 power supply does not require changing like the CYPRES 2, therefore there is no battery strength stop during the countdown.Arrive Safely John
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
