I am currently in the process of sanding it and taping off sections of it for spraypainting..and I'm having trouble w/ taping off the spot where the chin strap is fed through the helmet. There's a ring of metal there and I don't want to get any paint on it. Nor do I want to remove the chin strap via unstitching it..and then not be able to have anyone (rigger or otherwise) sew it back together. Any suggestions? matthewcline 0 #3 February 9, 2011 Sparky has a good option or you could un-clip the chin strap and use pin striping tape to mask it off and then proceed as normal.
