So I'm reading this new "Bail Out Bill" and I come across this. It doesn't really bear discussion, but it makes you scratch your head. A nice break in the otherwise tedious task.

23 (a) IN GENERAL.—Paragraph (2) of section 4161(b)

6 wood with no laminations or artificial means of
7 enhancing the spine of such shaft (whether sold
8 separately or incorporated as part of a finished
9 or unfinished product) of a type used in the
10 manufacture of any arrow which after its as11
sembly—
12 ‘‘(i) measures 5/16 of an inch or less in
13 diameter, and
14 ‘‘(ii) is not suitable for use with a bow
15 described in paragraph (1)(A).’’.
16 (b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendments made by
17 this section shall apply to shafts first sold after the date
18 of enactment of this Act.

451 pages.

It contains pretty much the kitchen sink. I'm not saying I didn't miss authorization for the purchase of Greenland in there somewhere.

When we get a document like this I walk it down to contracts and they hire a small company to go though it. Usually takes a month and then the fun starts.

I think this can go two ways. One is that it will pass because everyone is afraid of what will happen if it doesn't. Two, the House will feel like they are being played by the Senate and shoot it down or delay for a week.

I'm betting on the first because there are alot of trees to hide behind in it.

One thing is for sure, they will probably have to hire all those unemployed people from Wall street to administer it. Call it a jobs programm too, yea that's the ticket and jobs program.
