Altitrack Stealth Failure

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had their Altitrack Altimeter reset itself halfway through a climb? First time using it yesterday it reset it self TWICE! First jump at 3000 ft and the second at 500. (So when I was at 10,000 it read 7,000). Is there some setting I'm missing, or is it just broken (its brand new right out of the box)??

Yep, had it happen before. I've sent two different units back to L&B because of resetting problems.

First advice I'd give would be to change the battery. One thing I've observed as a "feature" of the Altitrack is that it will be low on battery but won't register as being low on battery till you shut the unit down, take out the battery, and reinsert the battery. THEN you'll get the warning. (But since yours is brand new, the battery is less likely to be an issue, but it's worth a shot).

Hi :)

I used to own a Altitrack and I've had this problem once or twice... It zero'd itself during ride to atitude.. Contacted L&B and they asked me to send it back to them. Received a brand new Altitrack from L&B shortly after.... No charge, only payed for the shipment of the altimeter to L&B. It's been said a lot already, but I'd like to emphasize again that L&B is awesome when it comes to their products and after-sales service.
