computer advice needed

my computer won't show any pictures, links & so on unless I right click & press (show picture) which is a major pain.

Any advice I could use ?????????

Using IE? Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
Find the "Show Pictures" checkbox (under multimedia) and hit it.

I was having similar problems a few years ago, and I found that cleaning the cache helped...

on the General tab, look for the remove temporary files (or something like that... my IE is in french so I dont have the exact wording)

not the cookies... though it may not be a bad thing. The temp files (ie cache)

I thought those files were the cookies....but it does work better to go in and select them all and delete usually then just hitting the delete cookies button...I'm running XP.

1st....I,m better at breaking comps then fixing them

I assume you have rebooted

You can try a system restore..Its on XP/ME and 2000 I believe.......start/help and support/pick a task/system restore.

That has saved my bacon a few times.

I have'nt yet but am now going to, dinner smells toooo good, & my boys room is freezing but is not too much of a prob thanks to loads of red wine & vodka, back to the vid's I think, cheers guys, you have been no help at all so I'm now forced to watch BORING CRON'S III, BABYLON STUFF & various FF vid's for the next 15 hours, & it's ALL YOUR FAULT, you bastards ; )

I had a similar problem and tried most of the things suggested here. Nothing worked until I tried CTRL+R. That solved the problem. Hope it works for you.
