skydiver30960 0 #1 June 14, 2004 Ah, DZ.com, my last and only bastion for all forms of knowledge, skydiving and non-skydiving... OK, so here's the digs... the Bugflector on the front of my Tahoe has finally given up the ghost, it's gotta go. Problem is, there are these little velcro pads on the hood that (I assume) are there to stop vibration (sorry ladies). They're held on there by regular adhesive. Can anyone suggest an "automotive paint friendly" adhesive remover? The little velcro pads suck, but big welts in my paint would suck worse, so I wanna make sure I use safe stuff. My first thought was to try a citrus-based solvent, would you agree? Thanks, danke, and grassy-ass; Elvisio "bugflectorless" rodriguez
kai2k1 0 #2 June 15, 2004 Use soap, water, and bug and tar remover. the bug and tar remover will do wonders to get the adhesive off of the front of your truck. There's no truer sense of flying than sky diving," Scott Cowan
Kris 0 #3 June 15, 2004 I used the citrus Goof-Off on the decals on my motorcycle and it took of the adhesive without touching the clear-coat. It's an orange fluid in a spray-bottle. It ran me about $3 at Wal-Mart.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
