I was little bit in shock, when I learned about doctoring DOM, OK, I understand now, but they must at least test that gear, before sending someone up in the sky to jump down to Earth?? Last year they had near fatal incident, young skydiver ended up in a coma, someone gave him doctored gear without testing it. Yes, I know I sound neurotic, but my relative going to take skydiving as hobby. Please, advise how and what he must to do to stay safe and alive.
