jsaxton 0 #1 February 10, 2005 Se we are interviewing for a position that requires Unix, Networking, C++ and Perl. This guy has a phone interview with me this morning, his resume says that he knows Unix and Networking, it's the first line of his resume. I asked him what port DNS uses and the guy had no idea what I was talking about! How the hell do people think that they can lie on their resume like that? Do they actually expect to get away with it? AggieDave 6 #2 February 10, 2005 I guess he confused Unix, Networking and programming with the marketing position and decided to lie. HA! Its one thing to say "I'm good with C and Networking, but I'm not very good with Unix...yet, I'm willing to learn if you give me a chance..." OR Install FreeBSD on a home machine and fucking learn before applying.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
