skyh2omedic 0 #1 December 3, 2008 I'm looking for a source of engraved closing pin necklaces. Giving it for a Christmas gift. Thanks"You can't teach what you don't know and you can't lead where you won't go"
stevesimms 0 #2 December 3, 2008 Why not get a necklace, and then get it engraved by a jeweller? simple solution...
hackish 8 #3 December 3, 2008 It wouldn't be the easiest thing in the world to engrave since it's stainless and very very small. I'd second the ideal of taking it to a jeweller. -Michael
erdnarob 1 #4 December 3, 2008 Stainless steel is soft compared to the tungsten carbide tip of an engraver tool. New engravers are computer driven then engraving something small is not really a problem. They are even able to engrave on the inside surface of a wedding ring. But personally I would have that closing pin gold plated but not engraved.Learn from others mistakes, you will never live long enough to make them all. skyh2omedic 0 #5 December 6, 2008 Thanks all for your input. I was looking for a possible one stop shop solution with a history of doing this if it was out there. A jewler told me they could do it as well. Cheers"You can't teach what you don't know and you can't lead where you won't go"
