LisaM 0 #1 October 13, 2006 WHY WHY do people use Outlook to schedule meetings and totaly IGNORE the fact that it says I am BUSY during that time. That is so damn annoying.... Ok.... vent done but I still am annoyed.... ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
Rebecca 0 #2 October 13, 2006 Because dear Lisa, OBVIOUSLY their immediate needs are more important than anything you could possibly have planned. I'm sure you can work around it. For instance, cloning is an excellent way to be in several places at once. Also, outsourcing the little tasks works wonders (what else would you have kids for?) Third, you can try the Lex Luthor "All Style, No Substance" approach with a holograph generator. They don't even have to know you're not in the meeting... unless you normally say something, in which case, I'd recommend against this option... you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? LisaM 0 #3 October 13, 2006 *grin* Ok thanks, I am no longer annoyed. Yes this was a meeting with my boss and the head of the department I support. Brave or stupid of me? Whet I asked if she could bump it up a half hour she told me "you'd be amazed at how many people don't keep their calendars up to date" .... but OBVIOULSY I am not one of them. You can't ignore what IS THERE .... sily woman! They rescheduled it to Friday after lunch. I was half tempted to say "That's my nap time" ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder? Rebecca 0 #4 October 13, 2006 Right on! And post-lunch meetings are perfect for nap time! See if you can get someone to give a 30-minute power-point presentation with the lights off. Sit in the back. If anyone asks, tell 'em you're thinking VERY VERY hard. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Lindercles 0 #6 October 13, 2006 Wait a minute now, you're saying that you encountered a problem, talked to some one about it, and it actually got fixed? You mean communication actually works?!
LisaM 0 #7 October 13, 2006 It did, can you believe it. And she was extremely nice about it! I was really impressed. Must be because it is Friday the 13th. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
