self-induced line twists at low wing loadings?

Seems that a lot of instructors feel that once students are in the 190-210 'first-canopy-after-student-battleship' stage, they are perfectly able to also scare themselves a bit with some 'canopy envelope exploration'

Exactly while it is important to stress flying smoothly. Not 'slow' but 'smooth'. This seems to be the determining factor in line-twists.
