LisaM 0 #1 July 22, 2007 How much allowance would you give a middle schooler (6th grader in this case)? He only has to buy extras with it. We pay necessities. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

mouth 0 #3 July 23, 2007 My 13 y/o gets $30 a month. Each chore she is required to complete is listed and must be completed before the end of the month. A dollar amount is attached so she looses that figure from the oritinal amount based on what she chooses not to complete. I pay for everything except her skating trips twice a month and anything she wants extra. She gets school clothes and supplies free and clear. Misc "junk" that she can't live without such as games for her DS or this really cool poster or necklace comes from her money. She also has a list of extra chores she can choose from that I will pay her for based on the chore. The amount is beside the chore so she knows wht to expect and how many extras she needs to do in order to earn what she wants. Any chore not completed well will cost her half the amount. Just an incentive to do a good job if you are going to bother. BTW, Meg is 13. Lisa -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
