tucked stabizers

Recommended Posts

:)hi folks, it´s the guy with the Spark again. must say first I am very happy with the canpies perfomance, it seems a bit faster than the Sabre (could be the trim) but has a great flare. just one thing, most openings the stabilizers stay tucked under until I long pump (slow) the brakes, never had this before, is it normal, canopy is zp150ft and rectangular.

Actually I think it's more than the stabilizers. If you look closely the outside two cells are probably not inflated. This is a common characteristic with some canopies. Usually a design and not a specific canopy. As you've found slowing the canopy allows those cells to pressurize. Might see if there are crossports (holes) from the second to the end cell into the end cell. If not then ask the manufacturer if there are supposed to be.

We've put up with closed end cells for ever on various canopies. It's usually not an issue but is an annoyance. See if other identical canopies (size/model/make) do this also. If so live with it. If not talk the the manufacturer.

thanks Terry, it is more inconvenience than problem, though the advice is sound,I´ll take a look at the through ports today.
