I haven't signed since I took a summer class at Gallaudet University over a year ago, but I was walking through Wal Mart tonight and, to make a long story short, ended up making five new deaf friends who invited me to attend homecoming at the School for the Deaf in Santa Fe with them! It's amazing how much you forget in a year if you don't practice, but it was also pretty amazing how fast it came back to me just being there and doing it again! Now that I've graduated and don't have access to the ASL club on campus I've been trying to think of ways to get back into signing and attend some community events, and here this falls right into my lap!
