jdthomas 0 #2 July 22, 2008 I ran one of these "kids" off the other day, he said he was selling for his highschool project and the guy was maybe in his mid 20's. I have a no soliciting sign on my door, I pointed to that and said can't you read.. he flipped me off and gave me some hand gestuers that I am sure this wigger thought where gang signs. My dogs came around and started to growl and bark and that kids took off saying some jibberish alonmg his merry way.www.greenboxphotography.com
BillyVance 34 #3 July 22, 2008 The summer before my senior year in high school, we sold magazine subscriptions. It was an annual ritual for incoming seniors. And the summer of 1985 produced what I believe was the nation's top grossing senior class in magazine sales. None of us got paid. We did it for pride, and the top 10 sellers earned prizes. My memory has faded enough that I don't remember what the prizes were, but I do remember being the 11th best seller, just shy of the prizes. These were legitimate sales too. My parents bought one from me and they've been getting that magazine ever since. I understand this article is about something different, but I thought I'd just share my experience. marcandalysse 0 #4 July 22, 2008 We have these kids coming around all the time. We live around alot of retirees, so to them the kids must remind them of their grandchildren. We have gotten rude language from the 'kids' we've sent away. In addition to selling magazines, kids have said their sales of small items or candy allows them to go to Universal Studios or summer camp. I don't trust any of them. I'll buy girl scout cookies or the like from the neighbor kids that I recognize. And yeah, "no soliciting"...what kid knows what that word means, let alone know how to pronounce it? marc "The reason angels can fly is that they take themselves so lightly." --GK Chesterton
