Recommended Posts

Hello,

My name is Clint MacBeth and I along with Mike Carpenter(DZO Skydive New England) and my wife Shelley, and the help of Jimmy and Marta
Vertigo Base Outfitters, we are opening a DZ in Moab, Utah.

It will be a USPA drop zone!!!! We will have Skydive New England's C-182 and will be open Fri. Sat and Sun this Winter, with appointments possible during the week. Mostly tandems with all fun jumpers more than welcome!

We will have the 182 for the Turkey Boogie, taken off from Mineral Bottom! SHould be some exciting things happening this year with swoopers combined with base jumpers, huh the possibilities are endless. Make sure you don't miss this years Moab Thanksgiving Boogie!!!!!!!!!

So if you're coming out or bringing a non-BASE but skydiving friend, they can have a bunch of fun too!

We hope to open during the first or second week in November. As the date grows near, I'll have an exact date.

"The most beautiful place in America!!!"

Want to see it from the air?

If you would like to contact me my email address is
[email protected] or call 303 579 1827 cell

Hope to see you all soon,

Oh yeah baby!!! I already have your first 10 loads full already. Look for the Colorado Crew prior to the T-Boogie.

It's the Rob Warner who used to jump at Moncton, back in the early 1980s when I lived in Halifax.
I met your grandfather and did a bunch of jumps with Greg. You were - how do we put it? - "short" back in those days.
Sorry, but I have not jumped in Moncton since I left Halifax in 1985.

I kinda remember the name but the 80's were a long time ago. I left Moncton 8 yrs ago also. Been in the usa with my wife now. Shelley. You still jumping? Where you at and if you're close, stop in at Skydive Moab.
I'll let dad know you said hello. He just did his tandem course last weekend. 20yrs jumping an now he gets his rating.
Take Care,
Clint

Only did about 300 jumps this year. I am working at Pacific Skydivers, just outside Vancouver, Canada. Mostly doing tandems and a bit of PFF, that is when I can unchain my ankle from the sewing machine. When I am not patching parachutes, I sew up the occaisional hand mount for a video camera.
Hee! Hee!

Mineral Bottom airstrip is at 3,900 feet MSL.
Sure hope you guys have a big engine and wing tip extensions.
How far is the airstrip from a major road or town?
How busy do you expect to be with tandems?
I ask because this is the end of our season in Canada and one or two of our TMs are searching for work.

What up Clint. Talked to Jimmy P at BDay and he told me the news ,I almost fell over. To see Mineral Bottom from the air is going to be a unbelievable experience. Myself and my crew immediately started doing the math on swooping the gash, it should be hot. We will be there for the whole boogie so lookin forward to meeting you and exiting your aircraft.

I'm sure I met you before, once at the bridge in Idaho and at the other bridge for the go fast games.
What kind of math were you doing? Been doing some myself. It'll be interesting to see how it goes.See you at the boogie.
