I first visited Tilstock in Summer 2009 with a friend, we both had around 40 jumps & as soon as we said we were looking to jump, the staff could not have been friendlier & more accomodating to us. We were manifested on the next available load, paired up in 2 ways & soon we were soaring above the beautiful Shropshire & Welsh counties, with views of Snowdon, Liverpool & the coast at full altitude.
We're now both regulars & it just keeps getting better & better. They have a new & younger CCI who actively encourages student progression & will put up experienced jumper loads instead of sidelining us for more profitable tandems. The DZ has a very relaxed atmosphere & the social scene is starting to become the stuff of legends!! There is always someone to jump with, FF or FS, and coaching is free, just pay your slot.
The planes are currently an Airvan & 206, with another 206, (but turbined) arriving any day, to take the altitude from 10,000 to 12,500ft.
The DZO goes out of his way to keep everyone happy & there's a big BBQ nearly every Sat night & always plenty of free beer from that weeks beer fines. There is a free bunkhouse & camping & the onsite packer Andy has got to be the fastest packer around!!
I highly recommend Tilstock if you want a fun and chilled day doing all sorts of unusual jumps with likeminded people.

Arrived nice an early an received a warm welcome from the staff. I was quickly showed the ropes and the layout of the DZ with a good comprehensive brief (many thanks steve). As the day progressed the CCI persistantly offended/agrovated his staff as well as others which resulted in the manifest guy leaving as well as other members of staff. There were no calls for loads at all then the CCI bollocked all for not being ready etc. lack of organisation!

apart from the CCI it was a very good DZ so ill let you make your own mind up it may have just been a bad day but ill not be going back to see

If its a relaxed dropzone with great people and skies - Get to Tilstock
