I was over in the UK for work and staying in the area for the weekend so went down to Dunkeswell for a few jumps. From arrival to departure very professional and friendly. Staff looked after my paperwork quickly, made some introductions to jumpers doing similar stuff and 15K in the Beech with a view out over Devon & Somerset was beautiful. Will definitely go back.

A few of us decided to try out the twin Beech boogie- 2 Beech 99s at one DZ! we just rocked up the staff got us sorted. the staff were very professional and met a few guys with so much experience in the sport and had made the effort to jump with us. there is a great vibe I may make this my second DZ despite living in a different country. despite having a con, this will change within the year- this is the place to be for skydiving!

I did my AFF overseas and came back to the UK wondering where to do my consols. I finally took the bull by the horns and turned up at this DZ at the spur of the moment (two months after my AFF!!!). These guys couldn't have been any more wellcoming and they did their best to fit my and my friend in. Everyone we met was fantastic.... so much so that I wanted to write this review.

Being a novice I can't really compare the DZ with others, but for any newbies out there wondering where to go then Dunkeswell is a great place, really friendly and the large landing area for me was a real bonus.. i can't wait to go back.

My first visit to Dunkeswell was August this year, and I have never been made to feel more welcome. By the end of the first day I knew the 1st names of many of those there and most people knew mine. In short order the 1st jump was an organised 4 way, and then things just got better.

The kingAir is excellent, the only real downer is that 15,000 feet is ASL, and the DZ is 830' ASL so most jumps are really 14,200. That said that is great freefall time the views are good and the landing area is HUGE.

Points to note, Dunkeswell is an active airfield so there are other aircraft in the sky. The DZ is open Thursday to Sunday. Everyone is very nice to everyone else!!

Cool DZ

I have visited once, turned up unannounced. The staff and club members could not have been more helpful and friendly. I was given a very efficient briefing and quickly invited to jump with others. The members love their club and are loyal and appreciative of the staff.

The King Air is astonishingly fast and we got over 14,000 every jump except when the weather was closing in and we still got over 12,000.

There is no problem getting enough jumps as manifest will come and find you to get your name on the next lift. I said I would jump every lift they could get me on and they certainly did that.

The views are awesome, this is a beuatiful part of the country. I will be going back. I recommend others to give them a try. This is the atmosphere our sport needs.
