I just spent the weekend up at BKPC and had a really great time. Phil the CCI and Jeff the dz manager were friendly and helpful and looked after us at manifest. All the regulars were friendly and the whole place just had a nice vibe to it. On top of that they have possibly the best jumpship in the country, a bad-ass porter that was taking us up to 14k in about 10 minutes. Even the pilot was happy and smiling and his spotting was great.
I really don't have anything bad to say about the place, I just wish I lived a bit closer. They could do with a bar but even that's not much of a problem - half way through packing from my last jump I had a cold beer put in my hand! I would be very happy to call BKPC my home dz.

What a great little dz. Probably the friendliest I've been to. Staff and jumpers were extremely hospitable. I felt like part of the family straight away.

The visuals are stunning, with views of a beautiful coastline.

Coaching is available for both flat and freeflyers.

The dz is not over-run with tandems either
If all that doesn't grab you, then a plane that goes from wheels off to wheels down,up to 14,000ft in 15 minutes, has got to put the icing on the cake.

The dz also offers free camping and showers, with the alternative of B & B for those who prefer a bit more comfort.

The food is good quality, reasonably priced, available all day, with an evening meal available too.

Jump tickets are £18 and it's easily possible to jump plenty on the weekend.

To sum up,it's the best single plane operation I've been to. Go there.

P.S. They know how to party too!

Black Knights is a great dropzone, since moving Lancaster University Skydive Club there in November, we have had great student and experienced progression alike and have been made very welcome by everyone. Canteen with top food, video and tv available in there, packing room, video room, mock up and creepers, bunkhouse and showers all available.

Jump prices are fairly reasonable, disadvantages are the 10K limit and small C185 plane, although planes are sometimes brought in. (dont miss july 2004 15K everyday!)

New runway under construction.

All in all a top DZ, well worth a visit if you are in the North West!

See you there!
