  2. In conjunction with the 40th anniversary, Kate Cooper will be organizing a Virginia Womens Record and Big-way camp. (20-30 way planned, current unofficial state record is 12.) Five jumps per day on Thursday, Friday, Saturday; a three-day commitment is not required. Kate will be evaluating women for the Womens World Record in October. If you are interested in participating, please contact me at [email protected] or by phone at 804-230-0729.
  3. West Point's 40th Anniversary is upon us. July 18th to July 21st is the big event, and probably the largest boogie we've had! We will begin jumping Thursday, July 18th at 10:00 a.m. and continue through sunset on Sunday. We have two CASAs from CSS. In addition, John Eddowes will be bringing his Stearman bi-plane to West Point for jumping over the weekend. The POPS sequential 40-ways are being organized by Roger Ponce de Leon, and Kate Cooper will be on hand to organize the Womens State Record/Big-Way Camp. Roger, Kate, and Carolyn Clay will be organizing fun jumpers not involved in the POPS or the Gurlz-way, (for all you young Boyz), and Dave Sampson of CSS will be available for free-fly organizing. We will celebrate on Saturday evening with dinner catered by Sugarloaf Catering (ribs, chicken, all the sides, and vegetarian dishes for you non-carnivores). Beer for the event is brewed by the local microbrewery, MobJack Bay Brewing Company, which makes the MobJack Ales. After dinner, we have a DJ who will be spinning the tunes, so bring your dancing shoes.
