I chose TonFly due to their excellent reputation, and decided on the Speed helmet as it seemed to be the most flexible freefly helmet available. I went for no external audible ports, with chin cup and flexible straps but no cutaway. I don't have enough jumps to fly camera yet, but I will definitely still be jumping this helmet when I do! First of all the helmet fits like a glove, and is ridiculously light!! The thermo moulding at the back means the lining makes a nice seal with your neck, and freefall is almost silent! (great for noisy plane rides too!). There are 2 internal audible pockets and the option of external ports also. The chin cup is very well designed and is a snug fit, and the flexible straps means I have movement of my jaw, making it really comfortable. When I have enough jumps to fly camera, I'll be fitting my Speed with a GoPro, and with it, a cutaway - I've been told if I send it back to TonFly they can fit this for me to their standards. Not a helmet for people who want to fly with a lot of heavy camera equipment, but perfect for just freefly and GoPro use. Slightly more expensive than your average freefly helmet, but trust me, it's worth it! All in all, a great helmet with a stylish design and very professional finish. Really comfortable, light, well-fitted and functional! 100% recommended. Although the price is high, you get first class quality for your money - excellent value!
