Do you know of any way to tell if the mod had been done aside from trying to contact the original owner? It has new brake lines but I'm unsure if they are under the new configuration or old one. My openings are smooth and so are my landings so whatever configuration it has works for me.

I have a couple questions regarding the line set on my Triathlon 190. I was told when I purchased it that it needed a reline "Soon" but I'm not sure how soon. The lines in the picture are the most worn. The rest just look lightly frayed and dirty. I assume them to be dacron lines; is this correct? also If they should be replaced now Aerodyne offers 3 options: 600 Dacron 700 HMA 725 Spectra What are the pros and cons of each provided the canopy type? I've heard spectra are less elastic than dacron and may strengthen opening shock but are also less bulk. Advice?

My W14 is sized for a PDR 160 as well but I have a raven II (218) in the pack tray. What on paper seems wayyyy over stuffed only appears to be slightly too large. Though not exactly the same specs, this would lead me to believe that it would indeed fit

I'm on a budget looking for a first rig and I come across a '97 Centaurus that seems just right but there is only one problem: I can't really find much information on it. Does anyone have any good reasons such as outdated designes why someone wouldn't want to purchase this container? -Jon

I've noticed that the old PD 9 cells have a max weight equal to their size. I remember reading somewhere however that they tend to have better flight characteristics when loaded at 1.1-1.2:1 but that they would not last as long if the max exit weight is exceeded. Has anyone flown one of these canopies at a higher wingload than recommended and what was can you say about it.

New jumper here on a budget and looking for a descent first canopy. There is a PD 9 cell 190 in the classifieds now that fits in my budget and has only 170 jumps during its 17 years of service. I've heard that their flare power diminishes over time and that they are best at around 1.1 WL. Is this information true and if so, what can I expect from a canopy with this low jumps in that given wingload?

I run both the older and the newer NMU packages on Win7 64bit just fine. I am now able to open the updater however a pop up window appears that says the program has stopped working and needs to shut down but I can move that aside and still start an update. I can get to download stage one and am stuck on "waiting for file processing to complete" flashing. It has been several minutes now so I'm unsure if it is meant to take this long or if it cannot go any further.

I purchases an altimeter off DZ about a year ago and the mount it came with is like nothing I've seen before. It's an overly wide and incredibly comfortable wrist mount for alti-2 altimeters. So here's the problem; the velcro is wearing out and I need a new one however I cannot find it anywhere on any gear site. I refuse to believe that it's custom built however if it is, I want to get another one made. How? I'll upload a picture as soon as I can resize it.

I recently purchased a Neptune 2 that still has the 2.4.2 firmware. The most recent NMU cannot update any firmware older than 2.6 and the NMU that is available to update the older firmware will not run on windows 7. Any ideas on how I can update it other than finding a computer without windows 7?

A buddy of mine just gave me a Neptune 2 and was wondering if there was a way to turn it off or will it turn off by itself? It didnt come with a manual and he hasn't gotten back to me.

Where do I find these add on booties?

I was reading a post about the benefits of booties and strap on booties were mentioned, but I can't seem to find any other information about them. Does anybody use or have used these booties that could help me out and provide some more information?
