    I think guns are the key here.

    Imagine that you buy his soul. Then being the weasel he is, he tries to sell his soul to Satan & his minions, or worse the Church of Scientology. What are you going to do when they show up on your doorstep and want their soul back? Somehow I don't think they are willing to reach a compromise.

  14. In the real world there is certain mechanisms that keeps a discussion from lasting forever. Discussions usually end when one of the parties gets to drunk tired or hungry to go on, or resorts to physical violence.
    On the internet no such mechanisms exist. If you are fighting an intense flamewar before going to bed the flamewar will still be there in the morning, probably with some fresh insults from your dim witted opponent.

    There is one limiting factor though; if a discussion is going on long enough, someone is going to be compared to Hitler or nazism, or more popular these days, Bin Laden or terrorism. Once compared to Hitler or Bin Laden, you can withdraw from the discussion and declare yourself the winner.

  22. I once cut away at 1600 so I guess the lowest pull is about 1400.
    Lowest opening of main must be after I did 15 sec from 4000. Didn't lose altitude awareness or anything but decided to hang around to "feel the rush" a bit. It is very low for me since I usually pull closer to 4000.

  23. Just some thoughts about the way you americans use the word liberal.
    I was looking for the "conservative, liberal" poll option that best describes my political POV.

    Norway right now is ruled by a conservative coalition. Every time they try to, privatize anything, allow easier access to alcohol or porn, some socialist or former communist throws a tiny-fisted tantrum: "Think of the children! These liberal tendencies must stop!" They are also very fond of blaming everything that is wrong on "neo-liberalism".
    I think it is strange that you americans equal more liberal==more to the left.
