  1. Did you try to rip off a go pro from your helmet on the ground?
It isn´t as easy as you might think.Add the stress and lack of time in case of a high speed malfunction and you find yourself in a pretty nasty situation.
Cutaway systems on most helmets doesn´t cost much and should be used by anyone jumping with a camera.

  2. Hi,

You will have to try some settings to see what suits you best, depending on your lens, your distance to the subject etc...

I use it mainly for Tandem stills, so I fly pretty close.

Here are my settings which works fine for me.(Tandems)

Lens: Tamron 10-24mm - set at ~15mm(gaffer tape)
    Modus: Shutter-priority;automatic aperture(Tv)
    Shutterspeed: set at 1/500 - 1/800
    Iso: Automatic
    Focus: full focus field
I use bite switch too, make sure to set the picture mode to sequential pictures instead of single picture

Hope this helps a little bit.

  3. I had a similar problem:When I put in new batteries the battery status was on low again within a day.

    "Solution" which worked for me:
When you remove the old batteries, wait for ~5min before you put in the new batteries.
Otherwise the viso will remember the low batt status from the old batteries.

    Hope this helps

The problem I see with the zip ties is that you'll have to take them off all the time to hook the Pro-track up to the computer. In order to remove them, they have to be clipped off with something like wire cutters. And then you're risking nicking your harness webbing... Seems like 3" wide velcro would stay secure.

Only the mounts are zip-tied to your rig.The protracks are clipped in those mounts and secured with a rubber ring

Last week at the Austrian Nationals I saw the guy who made the third place using small pockets which were stitched to both sides of his rig. Also he was jumping with blue jeans and a tight long sleeve only.

Guy who made the second place was jumping with a latex suit - looks kind of a SM suit ;)

Why isn't there a cut of speed on that list? I've done tandems that were fast enough to be on that list.

For sure a lot of tandems and freefly jumps were and will be faster, but thats the competiton list were everyone is listed who took part in an official SpeedSkydiving event. Some of slowest ones (at least the ones I know on the list)were mostly people who wanted to give it a try just for fun.
