  1. You need the Skydivers Information Manual (SIM) 2003 or 2004 and the Instructors Rating Manual (IRM) 2003 or 2004. The SIM can be downloaded from the http://www.uspa.org but you will need to order the IRM from USPA or borrow one from someone. The AFF section of the IRM outlines what you will need to study in the SIM. I would highly recommend the AFF Pre-course, Glen said that a large majority pass the AFF that go through the pre-course. The two classes will cost between $600.00 & $900.00 each, depending on how many people are in the courses. The only other costs besides food and lodging would be the evaluators and your jumps. The deposit is $300.00 for Pre-course and $300.00 for AFF course. The AFF Pre-course is Thursday, April 22nd through Sunday, April 25th or Tuesday The AFF course is Saturday, May 1st through Friday, May 7th (this is set in stone).
  2. Hey yall! I would like to propose changing the date of the AFF Course at Skydive San Marcos from May 1st - 7th to May 3rd - 9th. We have 5 people that would like to take the AFF Pre-course and take advantage of the least amount of vacation days off. It would be benefical to change the course schedule, let me your know input ASAP (As Soon As Possible). Let me know your schedules. Be safe, work hard, play hard . . . be happy! 3. Just had a Tandem student ask me the following question and I do not have an answer: How much does the barometric pressure change per thousand feet. We do know there are variables like temperature and humdity but is there an average.[email][email protected] and [email protected]
