  5. So I have to say I am thoroughly impressed at the coverage and tech put into this years race. I've been a "check in" once in awhile to see what i going on for years past. This year it is a whole new level of awesome! Live GPS tracking, Live video from check points and pictures galore!

    Any other fans of dog sports watching this race?

  6. If you do not want to rescue from a shelter there are other rescue options. Do some research, if you find a breed that interests you reach out to a breed specific rescue. The amount of dogs that end up there along with the shelter is insane.

    But regardless where you go, educate yourself on various breeds and the behaviors. Most of the dogs end up in rescue because people do not bother to read up on the dog, mixes count too! They can be a crap shoot of which traits they possess from the mix, however if you understand what is possible you will be prepared for what they bring to the table.

    Siberians work for me as I know the amount of training and exercise they need to keep them from becoming but heads. LOL. Everyone has the breed that is right for them, and at no point should you ever feel you are replacing your previous dog by getting the same breed. Each and every dog has a personality of its own.

    ***If anyone remembers I let my Roxy(English bulldog) a couple months ago. I've been thinking about getting another dog but I'm kinda stuck. I love English bully's and loved my Roxy. But, every time I've looked at a puppy I just feel like I'm trying to find my Roxy again. If the makes sense at all. I'm now thinking of maybe going with a completely different breed of dog. Has anyone else dealt with this?

    Depends on the husky ;-) Alaskan Huskies are actually specially bred mutts. Siberian Husky and hound/lab/border collie and are not a recognized breed.

    Siberian Huskies are from Siberia. :P

    Neither of these are for the faint of heart, they require an incredible amount of training and exercise.

    Currently owned by two full bred Siberians and am actually racing them B|

    Arizona is a 14' non recirculating tunnel. Colorado is a recirculating tunnel (not sure on diameter). This makes a HUGE difference in design and building. Also Arizona has been around much longer and is always booked due to multiple world class teams training and coaching there. Arizona is located right on the dropzone. Colorado is located in a municipal area, where rent and possibly taxes are much higher.



    Also the cost of living in the area as well as utilities is probably higher. Cost of living in CO has gone through the roof.

    Been working way to many hours. Hoping after this business trip and the upping of my staff I will have more time to start training again very very soon. I have managed to squeeze some time on the slopes, but that's about it for the time being.

    New Gym lined up closer, seems pretty light on people in the free weights so I am excited to get back at it again B|

    I haven't jumped in a while, hoping to get in the tunnel soon as well.

    Yay! that's what I wanted to hear, I'm REALLY dreading surgery this Friday.. But knowing yours has held up 8 years make me feel a little better about the whole thing

    It held up after 8 years and through me spending several years lifting weights and power lifting. :)
    All I will say is suck up and push through the therapy, it will suck but it will help tremendously. It WILL get better.

    I also had my ACL done in 1993, LOL. That I do have some arthritis in, however still ski every weekend in winter, I just cant run these days, but can train. B|

    Saw something even better today at the gym. Some chick was doing sit ups in the squat rack. Why? Because she could use the weight bar as a counter weight to stop her legs from lifting up.


    Ive done that with dumbells when doing weighted sit ups...though I was off in the corner out of the way :D

    Curling in the squat rack is still worse!!!
