  1. In case any of you wingsuiters cares what the outsiders think, (non wingsuiters) I think I might be able to summarize the thoughts. Yes, we think the grid is a joke. So much so that I watched a few people participate in the world record backsliding record a few weeks ago and making fun of it. Here's the facts.... It takes a tremendous amount of experience to be a part of a world record these days whether it be belly or freefly. Most participants had over 1000 jumps freeflying on the 108 way head down. Some of them cut the corner on jumps by doing a bunch of tunnel . This goes to show it takes a lot of experience to fly well enough to participate in this kind of accomplishment. By doing a grid record that a jumper with 7 wingsuit jumps can participate in shows how easy it is. You want recognition and respect, do it docked, it's that simple. Some say you can't do anything but a line docked, those have no imagination. Imagine a diamond that has holes in it. I'm not going to take the time to draw this out, but it's very doable. Yes, it's hard. Yes, it takes some good flying. The first freefly record was 24 and it took the better part of a decade before this was accomplished. There were many jumpers freeflying when this happened, way more than there are wingsuiters now. So your first docked formation will not be a high number. If you are lucky to get get more than a dozen, I think that's a great accomplishment. But to build a record to get a high number because it's so easy, it's just not that impressive (IMO)
  2. Didn't spread any rumors, only facts. Freefly organizers work for East Coast Freefly and at the request of Sarah Skydiver, Martin has let you go. Sorry to break the news to you, but he's been trying to get a hold of you with no success. Jamie still remains on with East Coast Freefly and will be organizing at the boogie, no probation. Sorry if you think what I said was shitty, I tend not to see it that way at all.
  3. Dave isn't organizing because he was fired. I'm sure it was political, it always is. Anybody know where Sarah C. is? I really miss her and hope she comes to Sebastian for the record attempts.
  4. I will post a video for all to see, but first I need to see if I can make a couple of bucks with the video. Yea, it's lame but I just want to try and cover some of the cost the setup cost me. I will post a video as soon as I can. sorry.
  5. Trunk, you're not a retard for not getting a photo of it, you were just an extremely busy guy while you were there. Thanks for your help again. I've posted a jpg. so that you can see what Trunk is talking about. As far as the camera being is snyc with Patrick carving around the formation, well the planets were aligned perfectly at that moment. Don't think anyone could make that one happen if they new when it was going to happen, it was just pure luck. It did take a lot of thought before i even began ordering parts, a lot of which I didn't use. I didn't take a pic of it but there is a toggle switch on the other side of the helmet which powers the motor on and off via a 12v battery.
  6. I have to disagree with all who oppose this maneuver. Although the deadman would not be my first choice, the instructor has the right idea. My other choices may be a switchblade. This way the student has one hand free for other purposes. Perhaps a blindman so that when something go wrong, the student has a better chance of not scraping their face up since they might roll on their backside. A ghostrider gives them both their hands free, twice as good as a switchblade. Whatever move you choose to tell your student to do, make sure you emphasis is on doing it over water cause water is always soft.

  8. Back to the wide angle subject, does anyone have any experience with century optics? Some of these lens are really expensive. Are they worth it and which one would be great for inside footage? I've got a .2 diamond on my pc1000 and it would be nice to get the same field of view.
  9. Can anyone differentiate between the 100 and the 105?
  10. resellerratings does not give play.com a very good rating. Most of the reviews are old, yet even the new reviews are poor.
