  1. Thank you, everyone for your comments, advice and more. Most importantly, thanks for chutingstar coming forward. Is there any way to flag the classified as a scam, or to flag the user some way?
  2. Heya everyone. I'm pretty new to the site, awesome online community you've got going on here. I started jumping in 2007 and it took forever to get my A, and now I'm on my way to being more active - looking for gear, did a 4-way last weekend. We have a meetup group here in NYC and we get together about once a month - even during winter - to encourage new jumpers to come on out and get a tandem or two (or more!) in the summertime, as we want to share our love for the sport. Hope to see you around a DZ in the North East sometime - and sometimes elsewhere - planning a trip to Raeford in early May. And who knows? I'm going to Israel for two weeks in April - any good dropzones there? -Mike (aka Rubber Bands)
  3. Taking reservations fo seats in a car yet?
  4. From the Classifieds: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/detail_page.cgi?ID=74172;d=1 I contacted the seller, David Conner, and got some interesting response: To which I responded with my size and weight. I got this back: Does anyone know this guy? It strikes me as a little suspicious. Western Union, never a secure method. The drop in price for swift payment. Also - who would readily lug a heavy rig to Europe to ship it from there? All in all, a little sketchy. Can anyone vouch for this dude?
