  1. Greetings!

I got to South San Francisco 5 days ago and definitely plan on heading to Lodi Parachute Center to Skydive. Any advice on best way to get to Lodi from South San Fran without a car?

    Cheers

  2. Hey,

I'm pondering the possibility of moving to Lodi California to live in the Parachute center run by Bill...

What would be the closest airport to fly to?

    Cheers

  3. Hey!

I'm planning on taking a trip to Spaceland in Houston very soon. I am just wondering what should I be expecting when I get there, where would be a good place to crash or rent near the DZ because I plan on staying at least one month... Maybe more. Any and all recommendations will highly appreciated.

  4. Hey guys, Thank you for the replies! I was going to be there for sure but unfortunately I had a bad accident on November 26th low turn crash. Lucky to have survived it. I came back to consciousness 6 days after. sort of a long story but I will definitely try to go to Lodi as soon as I heal completely.

    Cheers!

  6. Hey guys

I'll be moving to LA next tuesday, I've never been out there before. I'm really looking just to maybe meet new people that can show me around, maybe a place to crash for a day or two, and show me their perspective of LA, or something like that.

    Thanks

  8. hahaha, Yeah, Trust me, that was the main joke in my DZ when I told them I was moving to NY to become an actor. When I went back for vacation they where all asking me on how was my gay porn acting career going. Oh well :S

  9. Hey Guys

I'm going to make this as brief as possible. I moved to NYC in jan of last year to become a professional actor. So far so good, I've worked on several independent films and 3 off broadway plays. Now this new year I already have my acting reel done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeMTWmI1vsA and I wanted to start the year searching for some legit representation. For those of you that don't understand, as an actor to get real paid work I need to have an agent so he can submit me to real castings. But the sad thing is that there are so many actors in NY and LA that agents rarely see people unless they are referred to them. So, Now, I thought I had tried everything to get an agent but I forgot that I didn't try this, so here goes: If anyone knows of an agent of manager that is interested in seeing new talent please feel free to contact me. you can send them the link to my reel if you like :)

    Thanks Again guys

  10. Hey guys!

I moved to new york in January and I've been here this past month and a half busy studying and stuff. I just wanted to get to know the skydiving community in the city before the summer comes. I've been convinced to go skydive at the Ranch, they say it's the closest one to the city. I'm living in uptown manhattan west side. I got invited to do some winter jumps... but I don't think that it will be too much fun to jump in the cold... Anyways, just wanted to let those new york skydivers know that I'm already in the city and looking forward for the skydiving season to star, hopefully I'll know some of you before it starts.

    Thanks!

    Ricky

  11. Hey Guys

I recently posted an LA skydivers post asking for skydivers of that area to point me in the direction of what they thought to be the best and closest dz since I was planning on moving there on december... But my plans have changed and I will be moving to New York City this coming January. I just wanted to know if there's any DZ's close to the City, and if there's more than one, which one would you consider the best.
    Thanks

Why are you giving him such a hard time????

Hard time? Have you ever tried to work in show business? This is NOT a hard time. This is simply cautionary.

Live, explore, take risks, learn, fail or succeed.

All dreams and goals must be pursued. :)

    Yes, they should.

But you need to take those risks, and follow those dreams with your eyes wide open.

Understanding how much work is involved in succeeding is an important part of deciding whether or not to pursue that dream.

Yes! I agree, and I know it's going to be uphill, but I don't care, I'm going to take the risk.

It may seem that he is, but he's not giving me a hard time, he's just being honest. And I know, I've worked in show business. Rejection is the norm. But, like I keep saying, all the help I can get I'll use for sure.
And lisaH, believe me that I'll let you know when I'm on my way over there so you can welcome me :)

ok, I'm sorry that it bothers you that I said months, but I've been planning this for a while, I've already done extra work in films that they've filmed here in Puerto Rico( including Rum Diaries with Johnny Depp). Obviously if I cant get there in months I'll get there in years, but my goal is to get there asap.

No problem. I just thought you might have some very short time schedule that you wanted to do this in and then head back to PR.

If your intent is to stay in LA as long as it takes, then just be aware it can take a lifetime just to go nowhere.

I know, Trust me, I know, and yes, I know that its a long shot, odds are against me, I probably wont make it... but I'll be happier going over there and failing and knowing that I at least tried, than staying here in Puerto Rico for the rest of my life and getting a normal job while I watch the years of my life pass me by as I keep wondering "What if?". Like I said, I started this post just to get as much help as I can, even if its bad news or reality checks. And I'm willing to stay over there as long as it takes

I don't believe a visa is needed when you're a US citizen from PR.
Unless, of course, he's not from PR.

Neither am I. It's a territory, but I'm not sure what the deal is if you want to work. I know that pretty much nobody but the porn industry would probably even consider him unless he had all his work ducks in a row. You can't even register with Central Casting without proving you're legal to work.

Now, if all he wants to do is sign up for an improv class, get on stage and say he's done improv in LA . . . that's a whole other matter.

One of the things that does bother me though is he said "months." Normally people should give themselves "years" just to break into extra work. That's not to say that miracles don't happen, but months seems a bit short.
