  1. Hi millertime, what size Vengeance are you looking at buying? If in doubt, whip it out...
  2. I quickly downsized due to being a skinny git, i started off by doing 1 jump on a 280, did a lot on a 240, then a few on a 7 cell 210, then jumped a sabre 2 190 which was a lot faster than i expected at my wingloading! I have only just recently started jumping my spectre 150 but was considering going back to a Sabre 2. I would'nt feel confident yet to fly a 150 sabre 2 so would probably get a 170 at which i'd be loading quite a bit lighter. If in doubt, whip it out...
  3. Thats true, the dealer i am buying from gives discount, but only if i buy a full rig which was why i was considering getting a new main and selling my spectre. If in doubt, whip it out...
  4. Me too, well maybe i wouldn't call mine a deployment but we are away for 4 months which helps pay for the rig. Mirage's look cool, I'm pretty certain now i want an Icon but still am considering a vector 3. I already have a canopy (spectre 150) but was thinking of selling it and getting a Sabre 2 170 or maybe a Safire 2 170. If in doubt, whip it out...
  5. I suppose thats the difference with the submarine i'm on and the royal navy in particular, they encourage it quite a lot and tend to run a lot of courses with a lot of discount. What rig are yuo after, i am just in the process of oredering my first within the next couple of days If in doubt, whip it out...
  6. How easy is it to do a balloon jump in the US? I was planning a trip out to a US dz this year and was wondering if any dz's in particular have balloons more than others. Si If in doubt, whip it out...
  7. Thanks. I really enjoyed it last time and i'm sure i will again this year. I found the US guys to be very helpful in showing us around and good to chat to. I must come over and skydive there at some point. If in doubt, whip it out...
  8. I can't really say why i was there but it was with my submarine. We was at Kings Bay naval submarine base and thats where i will be again in March. If in doubt, whip it out...
  9. I wish the UK was the same> I was in the US last year and will be again in March for 4 months. I did notice a big difference over there with the attitude towards the armed forces.
  10. terminal deployments are NOT RECOMMENDED on all zero P Lightings From the PD website Storms are a good canopy if you only really want/ afford 1 canopy which you may consider using for CReW. Also a good canopy for wingsuiting. If in doubt, whip it out...
  11. HA! i never have once been thanked for my service in the armed forces, so i don't have to worry about any sort of response If in doubt, whip it out...

If in doubt, whip it out...
  13. no legal exit altitude so long as you don't bust your container opening altitude. If in doubt, whip it out...
  14. I really do want to learn CReW, although i'm not sure of the requirments. Canopy flight is the most enjoyable part of the skydive for me. If in doubt, whip it out...
  15. I've been out at less than half that altitude in the UK Not with my snively spectre! Just out of interest, what is the legal exit altitude? I would of thought at least 1000ft above legal opening altitude or am i wrong? If in doubt, whip it out...
  16. What do you mean by this? Your still using what you paid for... I think you can learn a lot about your canopy through a hop n pop. If in doubt, whip it out...
  17. i never knew you could get out that low, the lowest hop n pop i have done is 4k. maybe the rules are different here in the uk. If in doubt, whip it out...
  18. beat the crap out of it, that usually works If in doubt, whip it out...
  19. never mind, just seen the thread closer down with pics. Exactly what i was looking for If in doubt, whip it out...
  20. Anyone got an Infinity container from velocity rigs, I'm quite interested in them but haven't seen many here in the UK. If in doubt, whip it out...
  21. Hop 'n' Pops, in my opinion are great. I think we should do at least 1 every 6 months or so just so that if a real aircraft emergency does occur, it wouldn't be as daunting and scary. I love hop n pops, especially on my canopy which opens slow anyway...it's like falling into a pile of feathers...well sort off If in doubt, whip it out...
  22. woops i meant levels 4 + 5 i passed haha. level 6 next when the sun decides to come out and those winds go away! If in doubt, whip it out...
  23. haha cool! solo exit next ey I'm definatley hooked. I even managed my first 2 stand up landings! Have fun If in doubt, whip it out...
