  1. Ah. Sorry. I guess I'll just have to ask them then. Thanks!
  2. Thanks. Hope I can get the job done this coming weekend. I'm set to jump on the 14th. *Crosses fingers.* Here's hoping. Oh, hey, one question.....when I want to turn (suppose to do a 90 degree turn left and right) say left I drop my left shoulder then right? Same with turning right correct? If you could let me know I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
  3. I know I'm 'jumping' the gun but, my job requires me to travel alot, so I try to get jobs that last over a month so I can stay in an area and jump. Today, I seen a job posting that I know I would qualify for - but it's overseas. It's in a country I totally would love to work in, never mind jump in (I was suppose to jump there when I was there last year, though it never happened) and I was just wondering, even though I'm a student right now....could I still acquire my student license overseas if I'm not done with all the levels required to be completed for a student license? Could I just pick up where I left off in the states, over there? What about if I already have my student license? Would I be able to jump alone if I had my student license in a foreign country? I went to the zone today with those questions in mind and a few other things I had to take care of but hardly anyone was around for me to ask. So....any input would be great. Thanks guys/gals!
  4. That's kinda the idea. :D. ;)
  5. This is the girl who posted on the subject title 'Newbie' - You guys! I PASSED! I did it! FINALLY! My instructors were so happy and impressed. They couldn't get over how I was done by 9000. I didn't intend for that to happen, it just did. It was so awesome. And I was so happy with that one. It was a good jump. I actually pulled! My instructors and I both agreed it was a little bit slow, but needless to say I did pull it! And when I did I knew - I knew I passed! Thanks all for the encouraging words and advice! I'm scheduled to jump on the 14th. Can't wait. Level 2 here I come!
  6. I don't consider it a game. I'm doing this so down the road I can compete. But for now I just want a boatload of experience (and my license of course). I really should look to the negative of that jump and try to learn from it. I would just like to forget it at this point, but I really need to stop and look it over, searching for anything else I can learn from it. Aside from remembering to 'pull'. Anyway, thanks. :)
  7. Thanks ya'all. I've finally gotten myself out of the funk I was in over that. I'm taking another week and figure by then I'll be ready to go again. Just taking a little to regroup and build my confidence back up - that whole thing shook me up pretty good. I think I may just have to get really mean about it when it comes time to pull. lol. Anyway, thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. I'll keep you all posted on when and how my next jump goes. Thanks again!
  8. Hi all. I'm new here and to the sport of skydiving. I've had 3 tandems, one static line (never do THAT again!), 1 wind tunnel and one recently failed AFF Student Level 1. I'm not proud of that last one but I came here seeking knowledge for the next jump I'm hoping to make (obviously it'll be the same course I failed and within 30 days though I'm hoping to make it sooner than that). It's so discouraging though and I fear it may not have just been miscommunication - I'm not so sure I didn't have a hard time pulling the pilot chute. I'm still going over everything in my head right now as to what happened out there. I fear I may not even step back in the zone because of my fear that I might have had a hard time pulling the chute out like I should have. If that's the case then I feel like I shouldn't even be out there. I don't know what to think or do at this point. Any advice or even encouraging words would be great at this point. Thanks guys/gals.
