  1. I was down in Cabo for a few days for a party and looked up SkyDive el Sol. Astrid and the crew there were helpful before and during my visit. Because they only had the 182, they made every effort to fit me in with the tandems. Astrid even called me to let me know about when loads were going up, so I did not have to waste my time waiting around, which was above and beyond the call of duty. A quick drive from the beach takes you out to the airport. The ride up lets you check out the amazing views of the peninsula. Landing on the beach in bare feet was great. The landing area is not huge but more than enough for experienced jumpers. There are outs, but they want to ensure new folks are landing where they are supposed to, which is why they require a D license (keep up good relations with the hotels and beach community). Even though they do a lot of tandems, they are safety conscious and not just out to make a buck. They cancelled a load that I was going to do with a tandem because the winds were getting squirrelly. I appreciate a place that would rather do things right than endanger anyone. I went at the beginning of May, and even though the air on the beach was mid to high 80s, the ride up was cold with the door on the plane off. There was not enough humidity to be warm. They were nice enough to lend me a jump suit. I had not brought mine, since I thought I would be jumping in a t-shirt and shorts. I would recommend others to bring one. Overall, I had a great time with the staff. Everyone was very welcoming, professional, and thoughtful. Given the views and the beach, I would have had a good jump regardless of the staff. They, however, made it just that much more fun. Thanks Skydive el Sol!
