ugh, out of the game for 12 years. It's like being in a time warp.

Women's Jumpsuits, what type of fit to ask for
schwansa replied to schwansa's topic in Gear and Rigging
I tried to find a thread on this, but nada.. I'm about to buy my first jumpsuit - gals, do you ask for a slim fit or normal fit? I fall slow already, I'm 5'4" 120, and getting a Matter. As well, any add-in options you simply can't live without? Thanks -
Lol...guess I deserved that for falling for this the first time.

So here's the deal: I'm getting a rig with no cypress and am going to jump it to the max. It's a personal decision and I think is more mental than anything. If you've already made the decision to do it, why ask?

I got that slider down, all right..

I meant to, and will follow up with them tomorrow on my next jump about the characteristics of that particular rig. I had a zillion questions about landings, which were a bit fresher in the memory than the slider! Thanks for the great advice everyone! -
Using contact lens while jumping
schwansa replied to kerims's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I havent' had any problems in the air so far. Although I have had my contacts fly out on occasion when i sneeze..looks very odd -
I got that slider down, all right..

I should perhaps clarify - it was at eye level, literally blocking my face so I couldn't see anything until I put it behind my head (as opposed to slightly over my head). thanks for the help - have to admit it was a bit um...weird -

On my jump today...I pulled the tabs on the slider to collapse it (forgive me I think I've forgotten the term) and the dang thing shot down right past my head like a head rest. Did I pull too hard? I tried to put it back up where it belonged but it kept on falling back down? What is the proper thing to do if this ever happens again? Thanks!
