I biffed a landing this past weekend. It was a low/no wind day and I was coming in faster than I was used to. I flared a bit too late with not enough input. I end up sliding in on my knees. Normally this wouldn't be too bad but on that day I had decided that it was too hot to wear a jumpsuit and was in just shorts. I took a big chunk of skin off my knees for that mistake. My first thought was "Fuck, I hope I didn't break anything." My second thought was "I hope this stops bleeding soon so I can get on the next load."

I'll be down there tomorrow morning.

I use the standard "Peerser" goggles and they work great for me. A lot will have to do with your face structure. I can't use some goggles because they don't form a seal around my eyes.

I was renting a 170 Hornet and 170 Sabre2 with a wing loading of 1.0. When I bought my own gear I got a Sabre 170. I didn't think that I needed to be in any hurry to downsize to a higher wing loading. Until I can fly my canopy perfectly in any condition I won't even consider downsizing.

Get the free version of AdAware. Works well for getting rid of spyware.
