Didn't M$ stop supporting 98 back in 2006? No security updates for you

Here is a video of a (mostly) drogueless tandem...
mostly, because they do deploy it a little before they pull the main canopy...

Does anyone know who makes the skydiving stuffed animals that are in Square 1's catalog?
My girlfriend has this stuffed animal that she loves and I want to get her a stuffed animal sized rig and goggles (not the entire stuffed animal)
Thanks in advance! -
Yeah, I am looking for a ride too, because riding my motorcycle makes for a long ride, though you can't beat $5 for a gas round trip! -
I took my AFF and got my A at Skydive AZ, it really is a nice place to learn to skydive, they are all really friendly and want to help people learn the sport. -
Sweet thanks! ... just wanted to make sure! -
A while back I tried out a different type of canopy...
I think that it is a Silhouette... but I am not sure
The canopy is in the attachment below... -
Thanks to all... I only wish that Mirage had a larger canopy database! -
I am looking to buy a pilot 188, but am wondering if it would fit in my mirage m4 g4 rig... Any help is greatly :-)
Thanks mucho!
Matt
I have been doing some research on ground launching and am wondering what type of canopy I should look into getting so I can practice some kitting.
Thanks mucho!
Edit: sorry I was in such a hurry I forgot important information! I weigh about 160 pds.
Yeah the raven is manf in 1995, and the firelite in 1987... (missed the 8 there) :-)
I weigh about 160 pounds, both seem in great cond. Raven is white, and firelite is light blue.
I have a mirage m4 container and it says that it can hold a raven (g) I. And it looks to me like the lines on the firelite are a lot thicker (double that of the raven)
Ok here is the deal, I have two reserves and am wondering which I should keep, one is a firelite 176 (manf 7ish) and the other is a raven (g) I, manf(95)... I am looking to put one of these into my mirage m4, and maybe sale the other one, if I can't find a use for it.
Any suggestions about which one is a "keeper"
Thanks!
I was wondering if a mirage (g4, m4) would fit a Raven I (manf 95) for the reserve.
Thanks,
Matt
I had to repeat level 1 once... I exited the otter in a good old "oh crap" position! (meaning i was a ball for about 4k) hehe
Hey everyone, I just bought a mirage g4, m4... and saw on the mirage web site that it can fit many canopies up to 190 (like a brick)
I was wondering if it could fit the sabre2 190... (only asking because it doesn't say anything about it on the website.
Any other 190ish canopies that I might want to look into.. (I have been jumping a sabre2 190 for about 40 jumps now)
Thanks
I know that I was scared when I did my hop and pop not to long ago. But I got on the otter, and sat by the door... and before I knew it we were at 5k, and it was time for me to jump. I took a deep breath and did my out in out.... and I knew it was going to be ok when I saw 4-5 people looking at me out the door of the plane, it made me smile, then I felt the tug of the canopy and I had fun!
(the only down side to a hop and pop is waiting to see who got it on video) :-P
I know you'll do great!
My reserve is a used Firelite 176. And as far as getting a smaller container for jumping a 150 in 100 jumps... well the m4 can fit a 150 - 190.. that is why I was thinking about getting it. I am going to the DZ tomorrow... (I hope it doesn't rain to much tonight) and talk to square 2...
Thanks everyone again for the comments, I have been thinking all day about it, and have decided to go with a M4 type container, which I should be able to pack my 190,170,150 in... as well as have a slightly bigger reserve!
I think that this is the best option that I have. Also I really don't have to worry about a bag lock, and I will have a easier time packing the 170 in the m4 then the m3...
Thanks So so so much for everything again guy/girls!
Matt
Well I was saying my current weight is 160 + my gear weight 20.. ( I say 160-165 cause my weight flexes anywhere from 155 to 165)
Hey thanks for the salt :-P
My wing load for the 170 would be about 1.05
(being that I weigh about 160-165)
I am thinking about getting my first rig. I have about 75 jumps now (45 have been on a sabre2 190, All of my landings have been stand up ones, and I am very in tune with the canopy), And am thinking about downsizing to a sabre2 170... or another 9 cell 170 sq ft canopy. For a container I was thinking about getting a mirage g3 m3(used of course), with a 150sq ft reserve. I just want to see what the skydiving community has to say about this, because I really do value your comments/helpful tips! :-)
Thanks,
Matt
Hey thanks for all the responses!
As for the questions...
I am making the change because the sabre2 that I am flying right now I am renting from square2 in eloy. And I am looking to buy myself a canopy that I can call my own.
What I really want out of my canopy is: I really like to pull a little higher and have fun with the canopy (turn hard, dive etc)... I am used to landing every jump on my feet :-P... And most of all I want something that I can keep for many jumps.
Oh and i weigh about 165ish (+/- 5 pounds), I am 5'11ish, and 22 years old... hehe there is everything that you might need to know! ;-)
Thanks again everyone!
I have been flying a Sabre2 190 for about 4 months now, and am looking to get a PD 170... I was wondering what can I expect from this canopy? Any help/comments would be great!
Thanks very much!
I am just starting out in the skydiving world with about 68 jumps in just over a year... I'm going to college here at the University of Arizona (working as a computer programmer/web designer at the Eller College of Business ), and am dire need of a rig.
Currently I rent my gear at square2 (Eloy) for about $75 + hook up/take down, which cost me a lot just for the gear... so in turn i only jump every other month... I am wondering if you guys know of anyone that might want help updating/creating/programming a website in return for a rig (container/main/res/etc).
I love the sport so much! Thanks again for all your help!
