    Brooke is still very much in our hearts and minds. Her bright shining light will always be felt in the souls of those who knew and loved her. She touched the lives of everyone she met in ways that cannot be put into words.

    In an effort to share the light that is Brooke, we're creating a memorial page for the inside cover of the March Parachutist. We're gathering photos and thoughts, so that we can create a beautiful tribute to our wonderful friend. If you have thoughts you'd like to share about the page, please send them our way.

    We are also collecting donations, as we'll need to raise nearly $2000 for the page to be published. We've created a PayPal account to receive donations, and any funds that are above and beyond what we need for the memorial page will be routed into her personal Relay For Life fund. The Relay is a charity that she put a lot of effort into and I know she would be proud to know that she continues to have an impact on such a special cause.

  15. Its lots of fun. My mom and I would go every year when I was growing up, at least for a couple of hours. She still goes every year and I join her if I can.

    Beaches all along the coast have people handing out trash bags and some of the bigger beaches make it a really big event with bands, food, "celebrity" guests, etc.

    Just watch out for parking. There will be none. :)

  18. Pismo is beautiful, especially when the Monarch butterflies are there.

    My favorite place in all of California is Big Sur. There are lots of campgrounds there too.

  22. Definately read Tripwire, but you can really start with any of the Jack Reacher books and get to know the character. You don't have to start at the beginning.

  23. I love Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child and am also looking forward to Brisinger (I named my rig after Saphira because she's just awesome).

    I also like Lee Child's books about Jack Reacher. By far my favorite fictional character EVER.

  25. This book is by far my Favorite Ken Follett book EVER. I have read each and every one of his books (most twice) and the only one that comes close to this epic story is the sequel World Without End. Get it... in fact, you might as well just get all of his books because he's just AWESOME!!!!
